French striker Yann Kermorgant has left Reading FC by mutual consent.
The 36-year-old had a year left on his contract at Madejski Stadium but has been deemed surplus to requirements by boss Paul Clement.
Kermorgant joined Reading from AFC Bournemouth in January 2016 and went on to make 92 appearances for the club under three different managers - Brian McDermott, Jaap Stam and Clement.
He scored 24 goals overall but he will be remembered most fondly for the 19 goals he scored in the 2016/17 season which saw Royals reach the Championship play-off final.
Kermorgant said: "During my time at Reading, I have experienced both the highs and lows of football – the excitement of a third-placed finish and a play-off final at Wembley, then the frustration of injury and the disappointment we all felt as a group last season.
"I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone at the club.
"And, of course, I would also like to wish the players, all the staff and the fans the very best of luck ahead of the brand new Championship season and for the future."

The Frenchman's second full season at Reading in 2017/18 was hampered by groin and hip injuries and he scored just twice in 25 games.
Kermorgant had been due to retire this summer but performed a u-turn last October when he agreed a year's extension to his time with Reading.
It meant he was under contract until the end of June 2019 but the club and the player have agreed to terminate the contract by mutual effect.
