Recap live updates as Reading FC and Fulham play out goalless draw

It's game number three of pre-season for Reading FC on Saturday as they take on Fulham at Aldershot Town's EBB Stadium.

The match kicks off at 1.30pm.

Royals head in to the game on the back of defeats to AFC Wimbledon and Eastleigh so far in pre-season so a win would provide some much-needed confidence before they head off to Austria on Sunday.

Reporter Jonathan Low will be providing live updates from the Fulham clash throughout the afternoon.

Keep an eye on the live blog below.

Arrival

Royals have arrived and just assessing the pitch.

All the first-team stars are here including new signings McNulty, Meyler, O'Shea and Yiadom.

Royals team news

Here is the Reading team to start the game: Mannone, Yiadom, Blackett, Meyler, Moore, Ilori, Aluko, Kelly, Meite, Swift, Barrow.

The subs are: Jaakkola, Gunter, McShane, O’Shea, Richards, Rinomhota, Evans, Bacuna, Clement, McNulty, Smith.

So imagine it will be all change at half time once again.

Fulham team

Here's how Reading's opponents will line up today: Rodák, Christie, Odoi, Ream, Le Marchand, Johansen, Cairney, de la Torre, Kebano, Kamara, R.Sessegnon.

Absentees

No sign of Joey van den Berg here with rumours still continuing of a move away.

Adrian Popa is also absent. Rumour is that he is injured but we'll check with Paul Clement afterwards.

Dave Edwards and Callum Harriott are the other players who represented Royals last week. Could they be on the way out?

Pre-match

All smiles from the newboy Marc McNulty with his team-mates pre-match

Nearing kick off

Less than 20 minutes to go on a very humid afternoon here in Aldershot.

Both squads are being put through their paces by the respective coaches.

Paul Clement is watching on from the stands while talking to technical director Brian Tevreden.

Reading U23s

Royals' U23s are also in action this afternoon - they've made the short trip down the M4 to Slough Town.

This is their squad: Luke Southwood, Liam Driscoll, Teddy Howe, Tom Holmes, Akin Odimayo, Andre Burley, Ramarni Medford-Smith, Ademola Shokunbi, Cameron Green, Ethan Coleman, Ryan East, Tyler Frost, Ben House, Danny Loader, Jack Nolan.

It's 1-1 at half time.

Almost there

We're almost ready for kick off here in Aldershot. The teams are back in the changing rooms and we're just minutes away from the start.

Kick-off

The teams are out on a glorious sunny afternoon. Pitch is perfect so hopefully we get a game to match.

Fulham to kick off. Let's go!

Meite up front

Yakou Meite is starting up top for Reading with John Swift in behind him.

Aluko and Barrow on the wings with Meyler and Kelly in the middle of the park.

Early chance

De La Toure skies an effort well over the bar but Fulham got down the left with Le Marchand having acres of room to place his cross into the box.

Reading corner

First opportunity for Reading with Meyler trying to get on the end of a Kelly set piece but Ream gets to the ball at the same time and now the Fulham defender is down receiving treatment.

Ream off

Looks like the defender won't be continuing as he is helped off the field with an ice pack to the head. Steven Sessegnon comes on for him.

Yiadom shot

Fantastic effort by Yiadom with a shot across the keeper which he does well to parry. Meite's effort is then blocked from close range. It all came from a nice counter attack started down the left.

Meite chance

Lovely turn by Meite just after halfway sees him spin the defender but he doesn't have the pace to keep going and the defender gets back, otherwise the Frenchman would have been through one on one.

Kelly halfway shot

Kelly tries his luck from halfway with the keeper off his line but it sails wide.

Mannone save

Mannone saves comfortably from Steven Sessegnon who strikes from the edge of the area follow a free kick across the edge of the box.

Moore clearance

Ryan Sessegnon cuts in from the left and plants a shot bound for the far corner but Moore is there to hack clear.

Aluko talking to

Aluko goes in very late on Cairney and the ref has a word but no card is given.

Barrow shot

Good break by Barrow down the left, cuts in on his right foot but it goes wide of the goal.

Meite header

Meite heads straight at the keeper at the back post after Yiadom sends the ball in.

Meite chance

FANTASTIC chance for Meite as he breaks clear off the last defender but fires straight at the keeper.

Second half

Back out for the second half and it's the SAME Reading side. No changes by Clement so far.

All the subs have been warming up so not expecting it to be too long until some subs are made.

Sessegnon shot

Ryan Sessegnon is through on goal but it's great defending by Yiadom who keeps him on his right foot and he eventually has a shot which is defelcted narrowly wide.

Mannone save

Good block by Mannone who comes out well to deny Kebano after the ball had spun to him in space on the right.

Meite shot

First time effort from Meite who meets a Barrow cross from the left but it goes narrowly wide of Rodak's right post.

All change

Both teams have just made a whole host of subs.

Barrow, Kelly, Aluko, Meite and Mannone have stayed on, the rest have changed.

Richards, O'Shea, McShane, Bacuna, Gunter, McNulty are on.

Change again

Smith, Clement, Rinomhota and Evans are all on.

Mannone save

Kait has a shot from range but Mannone is easily behind it. 15 minutes to go.

Fonte shot

Bacuna loses possession 25 yards out and Fonte strikes left footed and it's not far wide. Mannone probably had it covered.
